Argentina and Canada played a tense first half in their Copa America opener on Friday night. Both teams battled for possession, but neither could find the back of the net.

Argentina had the better chances in the first half, with Marcos Acuna coming close on several occasions. However, Canada goalkeeper Alistair Johnston made some big saves to keep his team in the game.

Canada had a few chances of their own, but they couldn't find the final pass or shot to trouble Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
