Luka Doncic Continues to Shine in Closeout Games
The Dallas Mavericks have advanced to the Western Conference Finals after defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 7. The Mavericks won the series 4-3 and will now face the Phoenix Suns.
Luka Doncic was once again the star for the Mavericks, scoring 35 points, grabbing 15 rebounds, and dishing out 6 assists in the closeout game. Doncic is now 14-0 in closeout playoff games, a remarkable record.
The Mavericks also got key contributions from Kristaps Porzingis, who scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and Tim Hardaway Jr., who scored 19 points. The Mavericks were able to overcome a 16-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win the game.
The Mavericks will now face the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Finals. The Suns are the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference and are coming off of a 4-2 series victory over the Denver Nuggets.
The Western Conference Finals are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, June 1. The Mavericks will host the first two games of the series at home before the series moves to Phoenix for Games 3 and 4.
